| Trial results

Lilly announced results from TRIUMPH-2 (people with type 2 diabetes) and TRIUMPH-3 (severe obesity with cardiovascular disease). At 80 weeks, average weight loss was up to 20.8% in TRIUMPH-2 and up to 22.6% in TRIUMPH-3, versus 4.0% and 3.2% on placebo. Stopping because of side effects was 3.8% to 13.5% on retatrutide versus 4.8% to 4.9% on placebo.

Lilly says it plans to submit retatrutide to the FDA in the first quarter of 2027.

Worth knowing: These are company-announced results. Retatrutide is investigational and not approved or available as a medicine anywhere.
