Second-quarter report: outlook raised, pipeline calendar given
Novo Nordisk raised its 2026 outlook and listed its next milestones, including a U.S. decision on CagriSema in the fourth quarter of 2026. Details are in the log below. Next report: November 4, 2026.
Status is what the Atlas has verified. Trial counts are from the tracker, with the number still active in brackets. Counts overlap, because one trial can involve more than one medicine.
GLP-1 medicine as a weekly injection or a daily tablet
Approved. Wegovy HD (7.2 mg) was approved in the U.S. on March 19, 2026. Novo's Q2 report also lists a U.S. decision on a 25 mg Ozempic tablet dose in the fourth quarter of 2026 and an FDA decision on a Wegovy pill filing for liver disease (MASH) in the first quarter of 2027.
One molecule that activates GLP-1 and amylin receptors, as a weekly injection or a daily tablet

Weekly injection that activates GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors. Discovered by The United Laboratories of China, with Novo holding rights outside Greater China
Investigational. Not approved. Two phase 2 trials were published in Cell Metabolism in October 2026 (read the summary). Novo is running its own phase 2 trials in obesity and type 2 diabetes, and the Chinese developer has phase 3 trials registered. Counts include trials run by the Chinese developer.

Other early candidates
Novo development codes that begin with NNC
Early trials only. The Atlas has no medicine page for these yet. Novo's Q2 report says a triple-agonist entered a phase 2 trial and that development of monlunabant was terminated.

Zenagamtide
Phase 3 trials HF-POLARIS (heart failure outcomes) and AMAZE 8 have started. Novo expects AMAZE 8 to report in the first half of 2029 and HF-POLARIS in the second half of 2029.

November 4, 2026: Novo Nordisk reports results for the first nine months of 2026. The Atlas will note anything it says about medicines.

The new name for amycretin, a single molecule that activates GLP-1 and amylin receptors. It is in phase 3 as a weekly injection and a daily tablet and is not approved. See zenagamtide (amycretin).
